Some of Mike's prized guitar students were featured with Mike Dugan and The Blues Mission. For 10 years the band presented "the Invitational Blues Jam" which started at the Holiday Inn Bethlehem, and moved to the Chicken Lounge, Jelly Beans, and peaked at the Shanty in Allentown.The jams featured such students as Eric Beil, Doc Hoffman, Glenn Sia, Dave Herbold,and Ferdy Neubauer. The Shanty jam also featured Dick 'the Crooner' and the Z Man, with occassional surprises by pros like Steve Brosky and James Supra.
